About Me
How Did I Start Painting
I am an artist living in the greater area of Lucerne, Switzerland. Originally born and raised in Bavaria, Germany, I attended university in Munich where I met my husband.
Due to his job, we traveled across the globe – change became an integral part of my life during this period. Then, 20 years ago, we initially settled down in the Lake Geneva area, and after a brief sojourn in the Lake Zug area, we now reside close to Lake Lucerne.

As my life stabilized, I discovered a passion for painting. As a little girl, I always appreciated the multifaceted beauty of nature by walking through forests and fields. I had a deep, admiring fascination for the intricately unique details of the flora and fauna I encountered.
Building on my enthusiasm for creating art, I took professional instruction to learn how to wield brushes and use colors to their best advantage. I swiftly discovered my own style, and continued to build upon it ever since.

Although I considered my painting a hobby, my family strongly encouraged me to continue and share my art with others. With some hesitancy, I began showing my paintings to
others – and from there, built up my gallery of work into what it is today.
What Can You Expect From My Art
I draw inspiration from the wonder of nature for each painting I create. My preferred medium is acrylic on canvas using a brush or spatula. To provide more depth in my paintings, I work with a special type of sand for the background.
I aspire to replicate the same feelings of childlike optimism, zest for life, and whimsy I experience when I encounter a stunning landscape that makes my heart full.
My aim is to draw spectators away from reality – even if only for a moment – and into the enchanting tranquility and harmony of nature.
